Issue
This recall involves six lots of iNaturally Organic Inc’sEmprise CBN+CBD 50mg Softgels,NuLeaf Naturals 1800 mg Full Spectrum Hemp Multicannabinoid Oil Softgels (with Delta 9, CBC, CBD, CBG and CBN each at 3 mg per softgel) and NuLeaf Naturals 1800 mg Full Spectrum Hemp Multicannabinoid Oil (CBC, CBD, CBG and CBN, each at 15 mg/ml) cannabis extracts.
These products were sold through authorized retailers in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and in the Yukon.
These products were also sold to medical clients through Rosebud Productions Inc. (Herbal Dispatch), Open Fields Winnipeg, and Médicibis.
Hazard identified
The product label has incorrect cannabinoid values due to the presumed presence of hexahydrocannabinol (HHC,) an intoxicating cannabinoid. Consumers are not aware of the intoxicating cannabinoid HHC in all three products and may believe that the products Emprise CBN+CBD 50mg Softgels and NulLeaf Naturals 1800 mg Full Spectrum Hemp Multicannabinoid Oil (CBC, CBD, CBG and CBN each at 15 mg/g)contain no or little total THC based on the ‘lesser than’ sign used to denote the amount of total THC.
Accidentally consuming or consuming too much intoxicating cannabinoids, including THC and HHC, at a time can lead to temporary adverse effects, also known as cannabis poisoning. It can, however, be very unpleasant and potentially dangerous, sometimes requiring emergency medical attention and, in some cases, hospitalization. Symptoms can include chest pain, rapid heartbeat, nausea/vomiting, psychotic episode, respiratory depression, severe anxiety and/or panic attack.

To date, iNaturally Organic Inc. has received two adverse reaction reports about these products and Health Canada has received 3 adverse reaction reports and 1 complaint related to these products.
Number sold
8526 units ofEmprise CBN+CBD 50mg Softgels were distributed.
2286 units ofNuLeaf Naturals 1,800 mg Full Spectrum Hemp Multicannabinoid Oil Softgels (with Delta 9, CBC, CBD, CBG and CBN each at 3 mg per softgel)were distributed.
2534 units ofNuLeaf Naturals 1,800 mg Full Spectrum Hemp Multicannabinoid Oil (CBC, CBD, CBG and CBN, each at 15 mg/ml) were distributed.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from December 2022 to May 31, 2024.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using this product. Consumers can return the product to the retailer where the product was purchased, or dispose of the product. Opened product should be disposed of safely and out of the reach of children and young persons.
