How many Ohio State football players were picked in 2024 NFL draft? See every selection (2024)

Ohio State is set to continue to add to its list of draft picks during the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit.

Ohio State is expected to have multiple draft picks by NFL teams, including wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who was the first wide receiver off the board with the No. 4 overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals.

The year's draft class could shape up the be underwhelming compared to past OSU classes. Harrison is the only Buckeyes projected as a first-round pick, which would end a streak of straight drafts where multiple OSU players have been selected in the first 32 picks.

Ohio State had six draft selections overall in both 2022 and 2023. The Buckeyes are expected to have at least four in 2024: Harrison, defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., tight end Cade Stover and linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, while players such as safety Josh Proctor and linebacker Steele Chambers could also be picked.

Here's what you need to know about each of the players picked in the 2024 NFL draft:

WR Marvin Harrison Jr.: Arizona Cardinals, first round (No. 4 overall)

Marvin Harrison Jr. is heading to Arizona.

After a historic three-year career at Ohio State, Harrison was selected with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals used the No. 6 overall pick of the 2023 NFL draft on former Ohio State offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr.

Harrison is the highest-drafted wide receiver in Ohio State history ahead of Terry Glenn(No. 7 in 1996),David Boston(No. 8 in 1999),Ted Ginn Jr.(No. 9 in 2007),Garrett Wilson(No. 10 in 2022) andChris Olave(No. 11 in 2022).

At Ohio State, Harrison was an All-American, Biletnikoff Awardwinner andHeisman Trophy finalist, finished his collegiate career with 2,613 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns. He is the only Ohio State receiver to have back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

DT Mike Hall Jr.: Cleveland Browns, second round (No. 54 overall)

Hall was the Browns' first draft pick this year because they did not have a first-round pick. The Streetsboro native gets to stay close to home and play for his favorite team growing up.

Hall was one of the few Buckeye underclassmen who did not decide to stay at Ohio State for the 2024 season. He explained at the NFL combine that providing for his baby son was his motivation for turning pro.

Hall's production at Ohio State didn't match his ability, but he was hindered by injuries to his shoulder that he said have healed. When healthy, Hall has rare burst off the snap, which helps him overcome a smallish frame for a defensive tackle.

TE Cade Stover: Houston Texans, fourth round (No. 123 overall)

Stover slipped a little further than expected and was taken after several Big Ten tight ends, but there's little doubt he found an ideal landing spot. The Texans were one of the most pleasant surprises in the NFL behind former Buckeye Offensive Rookie Of The Year quarterback C.J. Stroud. Now Stover and Stroud will be reunited.

Stover caught 36 passes for 406 yards and five touchdowns in 2022 with Stroud as the OSU quarterback. Stover's pass-catching skills are ahead of his blocking ones, but that should develop with time. Stover retains a defensive player's mentality and will work to improve.

LB Tommy Eichenberg: Las Vegas Raiders, fifth round (No. 148 overall)

Eichenberg, a two-time captain, was the unquestioned leader of the Buckeyes' defense the last two years. Concerns about his speed and athleticism caused him to slide to the fifth round. He might not be an every-down linebacker in the NFL, but his intelligence, work ethic and football instincts should allow him to be on the field on first and second down.
