10 Craft Ideas To Do With Jellyfish Coloring Pages

There probably isn’t a youngster anywhere who doesn’t enjoy coloring jellyfish.

If those pages have begun piling up, try these outstanding crafts.

1. Paper Chain Jellyfish

The key to this fun craft is making the jellyfish as colorful as possible. Then, using various shades of construction paper, create five to six multicolored paper chains.

Attach these with staples to the bottom of the jellyfish once it’s colored and cut out.

Next, add large, silly wiggle eyes to the body of the jellyfish and punch a hole in the top of the cutout.

Hang this in a window or doorway for a unique burst of color.

2. Standing Tall

A Kawaii Moon jellyfish is perfect for this exciting craft. When the jellyfish is colored, it should be glued to thin cardboard and cut out.

Using pipe cleaners in a similar color, have the youngster fashion at least two spirals.

When these are attached to the back of two jellyfish arms, it allows the jellyfish to stand on its own!

Display this cute craft on a table or desk.

3. Fancy Paper Bowl Craft

This fancy craft is surprisingly easy and begins with having the youngster decorate the bottom of a paper bowl with tufts of tissue paper using a two-color pattern.

The jellyfish cutout from the coloring page should then be glued to the top (the plate should be turned upside down).

Then, glue two large wiggle eyes to the front of the rim.

A handful of long curling ribbons can then be glued to the underside of the bowl to hang down as jellyfish tendrils.

Display this fancy, colorful artwork anywhere.

4. A Fun Classroom Craft

To make this easy classroom craft, give each youngster a large foam cup to be decorated with finger paints.

When the jellyfish are finished and cut out, they should be carefully glued to the cup’s colorful background, allowing the tendrils to trail down past the rim.

Using a pencil, poke holes in a circular fashion around the cup’s rim. Thread colorful pipe cleaners through the holes and curl them up like jellyfish tendrils.

Hang this adorable ornament up with a paperclip chain made from multicolored paper clips.

5. J is for Jellyfish

This craft is terrific as a classroom activity but is also fun when done individually. Have the youngsters trace and color the letter “J” on a piece of cardstock.

The word “Jellyfish” can then be written in puffy paint across the top. When the jellyfish is cut from the finished coloring page, it should be glued to the center.

Youngsters can then write all the words they can think of beginning with the letter “J” in the body of the jellyfish.

Decorate the tendrils with sequins, craft gems, and glitter for a fun and educational piece of artwork.

6. Make a Comical Jellyfish Couple

For this craft, have the youngster cut out two jellyfish from the coloring pages and glue them to a piece of poster board.

They can add things like wiggle eyes, hair, a mustache, sunglasses, or anything else to make them look like a comical jellyfish couple.

Next, use construction paper to make accordion-style legs that are just as hilarious as the rest of the artwork.

For extra fun, have the youngsters trace and cut out tiny shoes to put at the bottom of the embellished legs for art that will make anyone laugh!

7. Tiny Jellyfish Ornaments

This fun craft works great with pages featuring multiple small jellyfish.

When these are colored, they should be used to laminate individual compartments cut from an empty egg carton. These are the perfect size for a small jellyfish body.

Then, other images from the coloring page should be cut out and threaded vertically onto a thin piece of embroidery thread.

When a small eye hook is added at the top, these long, colorful ornaments can be hung on a tree or in a doorway.

8. 3D Jellyfish Poster

This poster is easy to make for any age child. Choose a coloring page featuring an “under the sea” scene with more than one jellyfish.

The jellyfish should be cut out, and the rest of the page laminated to a piece of poster board.

In the spaces from which the jellyfish were cut, glue cotton balls or cotton batting and reattach the jellyfish with invisible glue. It will look as if they’re swimming in the water.

For extra fun, add giant wiggle eyes and embellish the tendrils with curling ribbon.

9. Paper Bag Jellyfish

This easy craft is perfect for young children and begins by cutting out the finished jellyfish with the head separate from the tendrils.

Take an ordinary brown paper bag and use craft paint to color it in a similar shade to the jellyfish.

Add wiggle eyes to the head cutout and glue it to the bottom of the paper bag. Cut the rest of the paper bag in a fringe, adding the tendrils to the larger section under the head.

This paper bag puppet will have quite a bit of movement once the youngster inserts his or her hand!

10.Create a Jellyfish Wind Chime

To make this adorable craft, use a large paper or foam bowl and glue the jellyfish cutout from the finished page to the bottom.

Turn the bowl upside down and punch holes all around its circumference. Use long streamers in a similar color and thread them through the holes to dangle down.

Add small craft bells to the end of each streamer and hang up this colorful jellyfish wind chime.
